Destiny's Observation Deck has one of the most spectacular views. Wide windows cover one part of the wall, and the view outside is of the ship being propelled through FTL, the expanse of Destiny stretching out in front of you. You can see stars streaming past, and the wake of the vessel being cast off in whitish-blue light.
Sit a while, enjoy the view.

Setting 2 - Off-World; Desert Planet.
So, you decide for a break. There's an oppertunity to spend some time off-world! Stepping through the Stargate, you find yourself surrounded by sand... And nothing else. Still, you have 24 hours to explore and get back to the Gate. Don't be late! Tardiness will mean being left behind.
Who knows what you might discover by going further afield, however.
Feel free to NPC your own adventure, if you need it. If you want mod intervention, stick a note in the subject line and we'll get to it ASAP.
